I stumbled into Scenar ® through word of mouth in our little athletic mountain town. I was suffering from relentless nerve/ leg pain from a herniated lumbar disc. After a few sessions I intuitively knew I needed to learn how to use the Sport unit and treat myself more often each day. Within 3 weeks of steady Rx, with my own purchased Sport unit, the pain I had suffered for several months was gone. I was convinced I wanted to learn all about using the Pro model for myself, my family and patients.
The Level 1 course held here in Rossland with Alan Finston PT as instructor was excellent. There is a lot to learn in 3 days and pre reading something in preparation is important. I had practiced with my Sport and read the manual thoroughly so I was quite comfortable with the detailed and advanced information.
Level 1 teaches you how to apply the philosophy of Scenar ® with it’s reciprocals and vectors and dynamics concepts. I know there is more to learn however what I learned in Level 1 has given me such confidence to use the Scenar Pro unit efficiently and effectively. The hands on training approach in the course is essential and with the instructor there to correct you and answer your questions to allow the group to move forward it was very satisfying.
The pace was steady, the detail necessary, and sample trial patients were a bonus to practice with difficult scenarios in real life. .Our hosts Scenar Health Canada ® were gracious, the course timely and super organized, with good food, and absolute unwavering support and kindness. I won’t hesitate to take the Ritm SCENAR Institute Level 2 Course when I am ready.
